Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is an Mexican American performer, singer and actress. Sara Ramirez was brought up with her American mother. She faced a lot racial taunts that led her to feel unwelcome. In the ninth grade, after a school audition in which she received high praise for her voice, she started to build confidence. This not only increased confidence in herself, but it also changed her goals for the future. In 1992 she graduated with her master's degree from the city's Julliard School. At the age of 23 she began her journey in Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, at 23 years old she made her film debut in You've got mail. Her biggest break came with her performance as The Lady of The Lake as she appeared in the original Broadway version of Spamalot. The show won her the Tony Award and received great reviews for her performance. Following that, in 2007, she was a cast member in the ABC program Grey's Anatomy and became more well-known. As a well-known singer, she has also released both an album and a musical. She is an activist who strives for LGBT equality.
